The apprenticeship includes responsibilities such as:

• Assisting in food preparation
• Cooking and preparing high-quality dishes
• Preparing vegetables, meats, and fish
• Assisting other chefs
• Helping with deliveries and restocking
• Assisting with stock rotation
• Cleaning stations
• Maintaining kitchen and food safety standards

Finding the right balance between work and lifestyle is important. With a Commis Chef apprenticeship, shifts may include days, evenings, and weekends. Consider your home and family commitments when choosing this career.

The apprenticeship lasts 12 months, working towards your Level 2 Commis Chef qualification.
