Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Peripatetic Nurse (RGN) to travel across our care homes, leading a multi-disciplinary team and delivering high standards of clinical care. You'll develop tailored care plans, oversee risk assessments, mentor staff and ensure regulatory compliance across locations.

The role requires current NMC registration, a teaching or mentoring qualification, and a proactive, compassionate approach to resident care with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
• Teaching/Mentoring or supervision qualification.
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of regulatory frameworks ( medicines administration, Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines, NMC standards ).
• Experience in producing care plans and detailed risk assessments.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate multi-disciplinary teams across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team on shift across multiple care homes.
• Ensure high quality care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Develop tailored care plans addressing residents' physical and mental needs.
• Assist new residents settling in and support staff development.
• Provide guidance on risk assessments and safeguarding as required.
