Job summary

The University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, in partnership with NIHR, invites applications for a Study Support Service Facilitator. The role supports the NIHR RDN Study Support Service, helping with planning, cost attribution tools, and portfolio delivery across regions.

Hybrid role in Southampton or Oxford with regional travel and collaboration with study teams and sponsors. The candidate will hold a postgraduate qualification and a degree, with ongoing professional development,

Qualifications

A strong understanding of the research study lifecycle, the health and care system, and the RDN portfolio eligibility and cost attribution frameworks.
Experience in delivering customer-centric services, interpreting complex data, and working as part of effective collaborations and partnerships.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare clear presentations, analyse data, and advocate for patient and public involvement.

Responsibilities

Deliver the Study Support Services within the NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN).
Facilitate effective delivery of studies and support service users in planning and placement phases.
Coordinate with Study Support Service teams, Leads, sponsors, and funders to meet strategic objectives.
