Job summary

Wates is seeking a SHE Advisor to support project teams across the East Midlands, Yorkshire and North East. You'll provide practical safety, health and environmental guidance and help implement standards on site.

The role requires a NEBOSH qualification and a proactive, collaborative approach to risk management, with travel across the region to sites and teams. You’ll work with experienced SHE and operational professionals to develop your construction knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical SHE advice and help colleagues implement standards across sites.
• Support site teams with inspections, audits and SHE reviews.
• Help identify hazards and support effective risk management.
• Review working practices and promote continuous improvement.
• Support incident investigations and share lessons learned.
• Build positive relationships with project teams and supply chain partners.
• Promote a proactive culture where health, safety and wellbeing are prioritized.
