The Emerald Group Ltd is recruiting a Senior Cyber Underwriter for a leading global insurance business, covering Manchester, Birmingham or Glasgow. You will underwrite cyber new business and renewals, shaping a profitable regional portfolio and mentoring junior underwriters.

The role requires strong cyber risk expertise, portfolio management experience, and the ability to act as a senior technical resource while developing broker relationships across the market.

Qualifications

• Good technical understanding of Cyber risks and the wider Cyber market
• Experience managing a portfolio and making underwriting decisions
• Comfortable acting as a senior technical resource and mentoring junior colleagues
• Strong broker and stakeholder management skills
• Candidates from a Cyber broking background may also be considered where they can demonstrate strong technical Cyber expertise

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new business and renewals across Cyber
• Manage and develop a profitable portfolio of Cyber business
• Act as a senior technical referral point for the wider team
• Support and mentor Junior Underwriters
• Develop strong broker relationships and identify new business opportunities
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the regional Cyber proposition
