Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their established construction contractor in Leighton Buzzard. The role offers hands-on responsibility across commercial and operational project aspects with autonomy within a busy contracting business.

You will work across projects typically valued around £1m to £2m, liaising with clients, subcontractors and site teams to ensure commercial success and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial awareness with ability to manage costs, valuations and final accounts.
• Excellent communication with clients, subcontractors and site teams.
• Hands-on approach with willingness to support project management tasks.

Responsibilities

• Managing commercial aspects of multiple construction projects.
• Preparing and reviewing budgets, costs and valuations.
• Monitoring project performance, variations and final accounts.
• Collaborating with site teams to manage labour, resources and programme.
• Liaising with clients and suppliers to maintain commercial relationships.
• Supporting delivery from pre-construction through to completion.
