Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team near Chichester. This exclusive role offers hybrid working (2–3 days in the office) and UK/international project exposure within defence/security sectors.

You will manage multiple projects with minimal supervision, delivering NEC-based contracts and overseeing procurement, valuations and final accounts. DV security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Strong QS fundamentals with proven project delivery experience.
• Experience administering NEC contracts is essential.
• Background within either a Main Contractor or QS Consultancy.
• Comfortable managing projects independently with minimal supervision.
• Eligible for DV Security Clearance due to project nature.
• Ideally located within one hour of Chichester and reasonable London distance.
• Experience in defence, infrastructure, refurbishment or complex projects advantageous but not essential.
• NRM1 familiarity beneficial but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Professional, organised and confident communicator with strong commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full commercial lifecycle from tender stage through to final account.
• Take ownership of multiple projects with minimal supervision after onboarding.
• Deliver technically complex construction projects in defence and secure infrastructure (£250k–£8m).
• Administer NEC contracts throughout project delivery.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts.
• Collaborate with Commercial Manager, project delivery teams and Assistant QS.
• Attend the Chichester office and sites across the South of England as required.
• Opportunity to support international projects if desired.
