Job summary

GAP Group in Tilbury is seeking a Regional Pump Engineer to service and repair dewatering and sewerage pump equipment across customer sites.

You will travel to client sites, identify faults, and maintain service records, with a base at the Tilbury depot and a company van provided.

The role requires pump engineering experience, diesel engines knowledge, and a customer-focused, team-oriented approach; a valid driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a pump engineer/mechanical fitter or similar role.
• Experience in plant or hire industry is beneficial.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, hoses or generators preferred; training available.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Customer-focused approach and team player.
• Valid driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites across the GAP fleet to identify and repair faults on pumps, hoses and generators.
• Maintain and service equipment and accurately update service records.
• Work from the Tilbury depot and support on-site servicing as required.
