Job summary

Courtney Smith is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive sales of timber and steel playground equipment across Lancashire, Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire. You will develop the existing territory, build strong relationships with councils, schools and parks, and manage tenders from enquiry to order.

The role offers a basic salary of £37,000–£44,000, uncapped quarterly bonus on installations, and a company car.

Qualifications

• Proven field sales experience with a consultative, value-led approach.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Commercially minded, proactive in identifying opportunities.
• Experience selling to local authorities or schools would be beneficial, but product background is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales across an established territory with significant growth potential.
• Sell timber and steel playground equipment, including slides, swings, climbing frames and adventure trails.
• Promote safety fencing and playground surfacing solutions.
• Build relationships with local authorities, parish councils, schools, leisure centres, parks, community groups and caravan parks.
• Identify new business opportunities and develop existing customer accounts.
• Prepare and submit tenders, managing projects from initial enquiry through to order.
• Manage sales opportunities ranging from £4,000 to £300,000.
