Regional Planning Manager – Northern England

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Home Builders Federation’s (HBF) Planning Team.

Working for the most part across the north of England, the main focus of the role will be to engage with emerging local planning policy on behalf of HBF’s members. Being members’ first port of call on planning matters, the candidate will also be involved in coordinating industry responses to all manner of development management, environmental and sustainability issues.

Direct, first-hand experience of development plan production would be beneficial, but, if not, candidates will need a keen interest in this area of planning. Similarly, direct, first-hand experience of housebuilding would be beneficial, but, if not, candidates will need an awareness of the issues affecting the residential sector and a desire to help shape HBF policy.

The candidate will be required to work self-sufficiently, but with the support of the Planning Director and other Regional Planning Managers. The role will be home-based, but with travel required across the region and occasionally to London as necessary.
