Job summary

Metispeople is seeking a Regional Planning Manager for an established project services consultancy. You will lead and develop a planning team, overseeing workload and performance while staying hands-on on key projects and clients.

You will manage a team of around 6 planners, drive planning delivery across multiple projects, and provide senior support to clients and project teams throughout tender to completion.

Qualifications

• Senior planning experience in UK civil engineering projects.
• Deep knowledge of NEC contracts, including Clauses 32 and 64.
• Strong experience with EOT, delay and change management.
• Experience mentoring planners and leading multi-project teams.
• Excellent client-facing communication and commercial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of around 6 planners.
• Manage delivery of planning services across multiple projects.
• Provide senior planning support to clients and project teams.
• Develop tender programmes and construction programmes.
• Programme management from tender through to completion.
• Prepare and manage Extension of Time (EOT).
• Apply NEC planning and contract management.
• Handle change, delay and impact analysis.
• Support project teams with programme strategy and commercial awareness.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contribute to business development and win new work.
• Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships.
