Job summary

BSW Group is seeking a Pallet Logistics Manager to lead regional logistics across multiple sites in the North region. You will oversee our own fleet and subcontractors, drive safety, performance, and customer service while delivering cost-efficient pallet movements.

Reporting to Group Logistics Manager, you will manage KPI programs, budgets, and continuous improvement initiatives, travel between sites, and collaborate with site management and customers to optimise profitability with strong

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in transport or logistics operational management.
  • Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced operations environment.
  • Strong knowledge of transport compliance, fleet operations and KPI management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial awareness with budgeting and cost control experience.
  • Proficient with data analysis and MS Office.
  • Must be able to travel regularly across regional sites.
  • Experience in pallet networks or pallet pooling and P&L management.
  • Knowledge of transport planning systems such as Paragon.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day regional logistics operations across multiple sites.
  • Oversee fleet and subcontractor performance to meet service levels.
  • Monitor KPIs, drive cost reduction and operational efficiency gains.
  • Manage driver performance, attendance, investigations and disciplinary processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Operator Licences, hours rules and transport legislation.
  • Conduct regular site visits and provide regional operational support.
  • Build relationships with site management, customers and stakeholders.
  • Analyse performance data and implement profitability improvements.
  • Support business projects and deputise for the Group Logistics Manager when required.

Location: North Region (Multi-Site, Travel Required)

Reporting to: Group Logistics Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Pallet Logistics Manager to lead our regional logistics operation across multiple sites.

Responsible for managing both our own fleet and subcontracted transport providers, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and

cost-effective movement of pallets while delivering exceptional customer service and operational performance.

This is a key leadership role with responsibility for logistics operations across the Northern region, supporting continuous

improvement, compliance, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage day-to-day regional logistics operations.
  • Oversee fleet and subcontractor performance to ensure service levels are achieved.
  • Monitor and drive logistics KPIs, cost reduction initiatives, and operational efficiencies.
  • Manage driver performance, attendance, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Operator Licence requirements, driver hours regulations, and transport legislation.
  • Conduct regular site visits and provide operational support across the region.
  • Build strong relationships with site management, customers, and key stakeholders.
  • Analyse performance data and implement improvements to enhance service and profitability.
  • Support business projects and deputise for the Group Logistics Manager when required.
What We're Looking For

  • Strong Microsoft Office and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly across regional sites.
  • Experience within a pallet network or pallet pooling operation.
  • Experience managing P&L performance.
  • Knowledge of transport planning systems such as Paragon.
