Job summary

BSW Group is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead pallet manufacturing at the Rainham site. You will report to the Site Manager and oversee production activities, teams, safety, quality, and performance improvements.

You will drive manufacturing KPIs, coordinate labour and materials, and strive for continuous improvement while supporting recruitment and training. A strong leadership background in manufacturing is essential.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing production activities, managing teams, ensuring health and safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and driving operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate labour, materials, and equipment to maximise efficiency.
• Monitor production schedules and resolve operational issues.

• Coach, develop, and motivate team members to achieve high performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Support recruitment, training, and performance management activities.
• Work closely with internal teams and customers to meet business objectives.

About You

• Previous supervisory or management experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• A proven track record of improving productivity through KPI management.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• A strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
• Knowledge of IOSH/NEBOSH principles, ISO 14001, and manufacturing processes (desirable).
