Job summary

SEPHORA UK is seeking a Retail Operations Manager to shape smooth, scalable operations across a region of stores. You will partner with Store Managers to translate priorities into actions, ensure SOPs land effectively, and support teams with day-to-day store operations and national projects.

Combining strong retail expertise with a hands-on, solution-focused approach, you will connect field and head office, drive continuous improvement, and support new store openings as SEPHORA expands across

Qualifications

  • Experience in multi-site retail (beauty, fashion or lifestyle) is essential.
  • Strong understanding of store operations, stock control, customer experience, compliance and safety.
  • Proven ability to influence across store and head office teams.
  • Experience supporting new store openings or delivering operational projects is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with clear, actionable updates.
  • Organised and proactive with a solution-focused mindset.
  • Comfortable learning and teaching peers on new digital tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support regional store performance and translate national priorities into actionable tasks.
  • Ensure SOPs and procedures are communicated clearly and followed consistently.
  • Partner with Store Managers to identify operational challenges and implement timely solutions.
  • Support day-to-day store operations including stockroom processes, compliance and safety routines.
  • Monitor field performance and share regional insights to improve consistency.
  • Assist with new store openings, including pre-opening plans and go-live support.
  • Coordinate deliveries, equipment and training materials for openings.
  • Support rollout and adoption of retail tools and omni-channel systems, collecting store feedback.
  • Manage vendor relationships for cleaning and security in partnership with the Senior Operations Manager.
  • Ensure budgeting processes are followed and variances flagged for review.

The Opportunity

As a Retail Operations Manager at SEPHORA UK,you'llhelp shape smooth,consistentand scalable operations across a designated region of stores. Acting as a trusted partner to our Store Managers,you'llturn operational priorities into clear actions, ensure our tools and ways of working land effectively, and help every store deliver the seamless experience our customers expect.

Whatyou’llbe doing

You’llsupport regional store performance and help bring our national retail operations priorities to life, including:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for a defined region of stores or operational topics, providing practical support,troubleshootingand guidance.
  • Ensuring national SOPs, policies and procedures are communicated clearly, adopted consistently and continuously improved.
  • Partnering closely with Store Managers toidentifyoperational challenges, elevate issues and drivetimelysolutions.
  • Supporting day‑to‑day store operations, including stockroom processes, compliance, safetyroutinesand operational standards.
  • Monitoring field performance,identifyingregional trends and sharing best practice to strengthen consistency across stores.
  • Supporting the Senior Operations Manager with new store openings, from pre-opening plans and team briefings to operational set‑up and go‑live support.
  • Coordinating deliveries,equipmentand training materials so stores are fully prepared and operational for opening day.
  • Supporting the rollout, testing and adoption of retail tools and omni‑channel systems, including S1, mobile POS and Click & Collect, while gathering store feedback to improve usability and integration.
  • Helping stores navigate vendor relationships, including cleaning and security, and supporting issue resolution in partnership with the Senior Operations Manager.
  • Ensuring stores follow the correct processes for ordering supplies and managing budgets, flagging variances,risksor inefficiencies.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of operational training,guidanceand materials for store teams.
  • Communicating operational updates and changes clearly, ensuring stores understand what is changing and what it means for them.
  • Conducting regular store visits to assess standards, coach teams, gather feedback and report on operational KPIs, risks and opportunities for improvement.

  • Experience working in a multi‑site retail environment, ideally within beauty,fashionor lifestyle.
  • A strong understanding of store operations, stock processes, customer experience,complianceand safety.
  • A proven ability to build relationships and influence effectively across store and head office teams.
  • Experience supporting new store openings or delivering operational projects would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to make operational updates clear,relevantand easy to action.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with a proactive and solution‑focused approach.
  • Confidence using retail tools and systems, with the ability to learn and help others adopt new digital platforms.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.
