Job summary

Harbourne Associates is seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager – Traffic Management to oversee 24/7 depot operations across Reading and surrounding areas. You will drive profitability, safety, and service quality while leading multiple teams and ensuring client SLAs and KPIs are met.

• Previous experience in an Operational Management role.

• Strong experience within Traffic Management or a similar reactive service environment.
• NRSWA accreditation.
• Good knowledge of permit schemes.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Confident using operational systems and technology.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and motivational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make effective decisions.

• Lead a high-volume, 24/7 reactive and planned Traffic Management operation across a diverse client base.

• Ensure customer requirements remain at the heart of operational decision-making.
• Manage the cost-effective delivery of services while maintaining exceptional standards of quality.

• Act as the key operational point of contact for day-to-day issues across the region.
• Work closely with Depot Managers to drive accountability, productivity and profitability.
• Motivate, coach and develop teams to adopt a right-first-time approach.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer service and commercial performance.

Regional Operations Manager – Traffic Management

Location: Reading

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm (50 hours per week)

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Regional Operations Manager – Traffic Management to take responsibility for the operational performance of multiple Traffic Management depots across Reading and surrounding areas

This is a senior operational leadership position with significant responsibility. You will lead delivery across a multi-depot network, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and profitably within a fast-paced environment incorporating both planned and reactive work.

Working with regional and national clients across a broad range of commercial and industrial sectors, you will ensure consistently high levels of service while delivering against contractual SLAs, KPIs, budgets and commercial targets.

You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the company's reputation for quality, reliability and customer service.

You will be commercially aware, highly organised and confident managing multiple teams and locations. Most importantly, you'll be able to demonstrate a track record of leading people and delivering profitable operational performance.
