Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Performance Management: Responsible for achieving national and local performance targets by maximizing staff availability and asset management to meet patient quality standards and the Trust's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Escalate issues affecting service delivery to relevant management teams promptly.
2. Operational Monitoring: Monitor VOR and crew downtime, intervene to maximize resource availability, and work with EOC managers to ensure regional performance, image, and reputation align with the Trust's strategic objectives.
3. Performance Indicators: Monitor key performance indicators within the region, take corrective actions, prepare exception reports, and address operational issues such as A&E departments, vehicle downtime, NHS Walk-in Centres, and Minor Injuries Units, proposing solutions where possible.
4. Incident Management: Manage scene coordination during serious or critical incidents, liaising with emergency services and outside agencies to ensure safe and effective incident response.
5. Major Incident Preparedness: Maintain readiness to act as the remote Tactical Commander during major incidents, in accordance with the Trust's Major Incident plan, including training and exercises.
6. Emergency Response: Respond to all incident categories as an HCPC Registered Paramedic when required or directed.
7. Business Continuity: Manage Business Continuity arrangements, activating plans to mitigate system, staffing, or infrastructure failures when necessary.
