Job summary

Agincare seeks a Regional Operations Manager to lead our Children's Homes in the South West, serving as Responsible Individual and guiding strategic decisions for expansion and quality care.

The role requires a proven track record in senior leadership within children's services, collaboration with Ofsted and local authorities, and willingness to travel across the region to oversee multiple homes.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years as Registered Manager in children's residential care or equivalent senior leadership in children's services.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and safeguarding.
• Experience achieving positive Ofsted outcomes and driving service improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder management with commissioners, local authorities and Ofsted.
• Commercial awareness with budget and financial oversight.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the South West.
• Ability to meet suitability requirements for the Ofsted Responsible Individual role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Registered Managers across the South West homes.
• Act as the Responsible Individual, ensuring regulations and safeguarding.
• Drive child-centred care delivering positive outcomes for children and young people.
• Support homes to achieve Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings.
• Monitor performance, occupancy and compliance; implement improvements.
• Build relationships with Ofsted, local authorities, commissioners and stakeholders.
• Support recruitment, retention and workforce development.
• Oversee budgets and operational delivery; contribute to growth initiatives.
