Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking an Area Security Officer to cover DWP sites across the region. A Full UK driving licence is required, with DS Licence preferred.

You will ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors, patrol sites, and respond to emergencies while coordinating with local police and services. Strong customer service and compliance with Mitie and DWP security policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience.
• Licence required; DS Licence preferred.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and property.
• Patrol premises regularly to identify security threats.
• Respond to emergencies or suspicious situations.
• Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Provide high level of customer service and assist staff and visitors in security-related matters.
• Conduct routine security checks and submit incident reports as appropriate.
• Adhere to Mitie and DWP security policies, procedures, and regulations.
