Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is hiring a Security Officer to cover DWP sites in the Chelmsford region, including Chelmsford, Braintree, Harlow and Haverhill. A full UK driving licence and DS Licence are essential, with flexibility to travel between sites.

You will patrol, manage access, respond to incidents, liaise with police and emergency services, and deliver high levels of service to staff and visitors while adhering to Mitie and DWP security policies.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience.
• DS Licence required.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the premises regularly to identify potential security threats.
• Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring proper identification and verification.
• Respond to emergencies or suspicious situations.
• Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Provide a high level of customer service and assist staff and visitors in any security-related matter.
• Conduct routine security checks and submit incident reports as appropriate.
• Adhere to Mitie and DWP security policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Flexibility to travel across DWP sites within the region (Chelmsford, Braintree, Harlow, Haverhill).
