Baily Garner LLP is seeking a Regional Building Services Engineer (MEP) to cover Manchester or Leeds, with hybrid/field-based work across the North. The role focuses on the front-end interface between site, client, and design office, acting as the technical anchor for MEP projects in the North-West and Yorkshire.

You will lead site appraisals, client meetings, and provide technical guidance to designers and contractors, while travelling regionally and engaging with Birmingham and London hubs.

Qualifications

• 8 years in Building Services Design with multi-disciplinary coordination.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Ability to produce clear site reports and briefing documents.
• Ability to represent MEP team independently.
• Strong understanding of front-end design interface between site, client, and design office.

Responsabilités

• Lead comprehensive site appraisals and technical feasibility surveys; translate as-built realities into clear briefs for the design team.
• Act as the MEP design lead in Northern project meetings, providing expert technical advice to clients, architects, and contractors.
• Bridge the gap between site challenges and design-office solutions to enable Birmingham team to deliver designs.
• Conduct high-level technical reviews and site inspections to ensure installations match the design intent and quality benchmarks.
• Manage information flow from initial site visit through commissioning and handover.
• Be a core member of the national MEP team, reporting to the Birmingham-based MEP Programme Manager and collaborating with the MEP Director.
