Job summary

Knightwood Associates is seeking a Regional M&E Manager for Reading to lead preconstruction and delivery across MEP processes. Based mostly at the Berkshire Head Office, you will oversee design review, value engineering, and mentoring junior MEP Managers while liaising with consultants and subcontractors to ensure design intent is met.

Regional M&E Manager, Reading

An experienced Senior MEP Manager is urgently sought for a region of this well established contractor with a strong pipeline of future work.

Based predominantly in their Berkshire Head Office, their diverse range of projects consist of education, residential and commercial schemes and cover most of the Western home counties from Oxford to Dorset.

Reporting to the Preconstruction Director, responsibilities will include:

• Covering all the preconstruction and delivery stages of the MEP process.
• Primarily look at stages 3 and 6 of the MEP process.
• Review MEP Design from MEP subcontractors.
• Value engineer MEP Designs.
• Manage more junior MEP Managers
• Liaise with MEP Consultants and Subcontractors to ensure implementation is as per the design.

The ideal candidate will have a significant experience within an MEP position and preferably will have either taken a lead MEP Management role or be looking to take that next step. Candidates must be comfortable working across all stages of the MEP process on a scheme and be confident communicators.

Candidates could come from developers, contractors or even have worked for an engineering consultancy.
