Job summary

Safety Talent Limited is recruiting a Health & Safety Advisor to support water/utility contracts in the East of England. The role covers Huntingdon and Harlow with regional travel, providing hands-on safety support across live sites.

You will inspect, audit, advise, and drive improvements in safety performance while supporting bids and operational planning. A minimum 2–3 years' experience and NEBOSH IOSH qualifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years in a Health & Safety Advisor role
• Experience in utilities, water, civil engineering, construction or infrastructure
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent approved
• Tech IOSH membership or working towards IOSH
• Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation
• Proven ability to inspect sites and audit safety standards

Responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections, audits and behavioural safety observations
• Provide practical H&S advice to operational teams
• Support site teams with safe systems of work and best practice
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses
• Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
• Support H&S objectives across multiple contracts
• Provide H&S input into planning, tenders and bids
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and performance
• Promote proactive hazard reporting and safe behaviours
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
