Star Platforms is seeking a Regional HGV Class 2 Driver to cover Thetford & Kent depots. You will deliver and collect powered access equipment across multiple depots within the region, representing the company professionally at customer sites.

The role may involve regional travel and occasional overnight stays with accommodation provided to support dispatch operations. Training and career development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence and Driver CPC.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect powered access equipment (e.g., cherry pickers, scissor lifts) safely and professionally.
• Ensure load security during loading, transport, and unloading.
• Perform daily/weekly vehicle checks and report defects.

Regional HGV Class 2 Driver - Thetford & Kent Depot

We are looking for a Regional HGV Class 2 Driver (covering Thetford & Kent depots) to carry out deliveries and collections safely, compliantly, and professionally.

We are looking for an HGV Class 2 Driver to carry out deliveries and collections safely, compliantly, and professionally. This varied role involves regional travel and may require overnight stays when needed, with accommodation provided, to support dispatch operations across two depot locations.

Depot Coverage

We are seeking someone centrally based and able to efficiently cover the following depot locations:

• Luton Depot – Bedfordshire
• Thetford – Anglia
• Tonbridge – Kent

The Role

You will deliver and collect powered access machinery across multiple depots within the region. As the face of the business, you will represent Star Platforms professionally on customer sites and help ensure a consistently high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting powered access equipment (including cherry pickers and scissor lifts) in a safe and professional manner
• Ensuring load security during loading, transportation, and unloading
• Conducting daily and weekly vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Adhering to all Health & Safety standards and safe working practices
• Providing excellent customer service at all delivery and collection points

What We’re Looking For

• Ideally have experience in multi-drop deliveries
• Preferably have experience transporting, loading, and unloading plant or construction equipment (full training provided for the right candidate)
• Understand the importance of excellent customer service and be confident building relationships
• Be able to work well under pressure in a varied, fast-paced role
• Demonstrate a flexible and positive attitude, adapting to meet the day-to-day needs of the driving team.

Required Licences and Certifications

• HGV Class 2 Licence
• Driver CPC
