Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Rochester is hiring an HGV Class 2 Driver for a temp-to-perm role with training provided. The position offers a permanent contract and pays £15.75 per hour, with Monday to Friday shifts starting at 6am.

You will perform multi-drop deliveries and collections as part of a two-person crew, delivering and installing specialist products. This is with a logistics provider focused on environmental sustainability.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than six penalty points and no DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements.
• Good knowledge of the UK road network.
• Physically fit and capable of handling heavy goods.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop deliveries and collections between customer sites.
• Operate vehicles safely and in line with company and legal requirements.
• Use handheld scanners and complete delivery documentation accurately.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and installations.
