HGV Class 1 Driver

We are looking for a Regional Class 1 HGV Driver based from any of our Scotland depots, including Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh & Dundee, but providing cover for all depots across Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the UK market leader in powered access. The role requires travel and covering depots as needed across the region. Travel and accommodation arrangements will be paid for by the company when required.

As an HGV class 1 driver, we are looking for individuals with the correct licences, a CPC card, and excellent customer service skills. Understanding the importance of health and safety within an organization is essential.

In return, you'll receive full training, a salary of £32,500 plus a regional allowance of £4,000, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, life assurance, Westfield Health Insurance, auto-enrolment pension, and access to retail discounts.

Responsibilities include:

• Load and unload machines following company practices, using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain security of loads during loading, transport, and delivery.
• Handover machines to customers and familiarize them with operation.
• Perform daily checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Comply with legislation regarding vehicle safety, tachographs, and working hours.
• Relay customer queries to depot staff as required.
• Act as an ambassador for the company, providing high-quality customer care.
• Complete all relevant paperwork accurately.

About you:

• You must hold an HGV Class 1 license and a full CPC card.
• Be flexible to stay away from home approximately three nights per week (accommodation provided).
• Experience with low loader vehicles delivering plant or recovering vehicles is preferred, but full training can be provided.
• Understand the importance of customer service, as you will demonstrate equipment to customers.
• Have a good understanding of HGV vehicle safety and maintenance.
