Job summary

Jobsworth Recruitment Solutions LTD is seeking an Area Safety Advisor for Midlands, Manchester, South West and Wales. The role offers a £40,000–£50,000 salary with a 10% Car/PCP allowance and a regional remit.

You will provide H&S guidance, submit quarterly reports to the MD, and lead risk assessments, safety statistics, and inductions across multiple sites. Full-time, permanent position with 40 hrs/week.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction qualification is essential.
• White CSCS Card is required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in building/construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Health & Safety advice, guidance and support across the business.
• Prepare and submit quarterly Safety Reports to the Managing Director.
• Coordinate and present Health & Safety statistics.
• Advise on risk assessments, method statements and quality plans.
• Keep up to date with Health & Safety legislation, HSE guidance and Codes of Practice.
• Carry out regular site inspections and provide written reports.
• Investigate serious accidents and dangerous occurrences.
• Advise on safe use of plant and equipment.
• Inspect documentation relating to lifting equipment, scaffolding, plant and machinery.
• Maintain accurate Health & Safety records and accident statistics.
• Deliver company inductions and Health & Safety training across the region.
• Support fire prevention and fire-fighting training where required.
• Liaise with HSE inspectors and safety committees.
