Job summary

Runwood Homes, an established care provider, seeks an experienced Regional Head Chef to lead kitchen operations across a region of care home sites. You will work with the Regional Support Chef and Group Hospitality Manager to deliver high-quality meals, ensure safety standards, and meet residents’ dietary needs while travelling between homes.

The role requires a flexible, field-based approach, strong leadership, and the ability to train staff.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene (minimum) is required.
• Proven experience as Head Chef, ideally in care or healthcare settings.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills; able to train staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations across multiple care homes within the region.
• Audit food quality, presentation and service to defined standards.
• Ensure compliance with nutritional guidelines and care plans.
• Train and develop kitchen staff and promote high performance.
• Monitor budgets, waste, and portion control.
• Travel between homes as required.
