Job summary

Environment Bank is seeking a Habitat delivery specialist to lead habitat creation and enhancement projects across the region, ensuring safety, timeliness and budget adherence. You will collaborate with ecologists and land managers to plan and deliver habitat works, including woodland, grassland, and wetland, across your region and monitor habitat banks as they develop.

Based preferably between Leicester and St Albans along the M1 corridor, you will play a key role in managing design reviews,

Qualifications

• Degree level education in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of habitat creation/restoration and management.
• Track record delivering nature recovery projects.
• Experience working with budgets and timeframes.
• Experience working with farmers/landowners professionally.
• Experience working with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Review ecology design for successful implementation.
• Write or review the Habitat Management Plan and Monitoring Plan sections.
• Provide activity schedules to the project manager for the programme.
• Write specifications for habitat bank materials (seed, fencing, etc.).
• Meet contractors on site, set to work, and manage contractor KPIs.
• Review Construction Phase Plans and input to the project risk register.
