Job summary

PPM Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Contract Manager to support the management and development of grounds maintenance contracts in the Bromsgrove region. The role involves working with the Contract Manager to deliver high standards within financial targets and client expectations.

You will lead operational teams, foster client relationships, and identify service improvements while ensuring health and safety compliance across a regional area with extensive travel.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the Contract Manager with the day-to-day management of client contracts.
• Monitor work standards, service delivery and financial performance.
• Manage and motivate operational teams, ensuring high standards of attendance, productivity and quality.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, staff and external agencies.
• Attend client meetings and deal effectively with any issues or concerns.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and improvements.
• Assist with job pricing and quotations.
• Support recruitment, staff development, training and performance management.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and ensure appropriate training is completed.
• Complete relevant administration, reporting and record keeping accurately.
• Support the implementation of service changes and manage their operational and financial impact.
• Ensure all Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintain a visible presence across your area of responsibility.
• Carry out other duties as required by the Contract Manager.
