Job summary

READ Foundation is seeking a Fundraising Officer to maximise donation income by developing community relationships and managing events. You will report to the National Fundraising Manager UK and work across multiple locations in the UK, with remote working options available.

The role focuses on donor cultivation, event execution, and volunteer engagement, and requires strong communication, strategic fundraising skills, and the ability to work independently within READ Foundation’s safeguarding

Qualifications

• Experience managing a portfolio of donors and prospects.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience organising fundraising events.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and workloads.
• Strategic and innovative thinking in fundraising.
• Proficient in basic Excel.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador at events to promote READ Foundation.
• Develop relationships with donors to maximise donations.
• Plan and run fundraising events and manage volunteers.
• Collaborate with the National Fundraising Manager UK.
• Ensure compliance with fundraising best practices.
• Grow volunteer networks and regional engagement.
