Job summary

Vetro Recruitment in Leyland, North-West, is seeking a Regional/Registered Manager to lead and oversee multiple care facilities. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding, and strong regulatory compliance, with hybrid working from a regional office.

Applicant must have a social work qualification and SWE registration, plus 2+ years managing fostering services, and be prepared to engage with Local Authorities and Ofsted. Salary £60,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Social work qualification with registration by Social Work England.
• Minimum two years’ experience managing fostering services in last five years.
• Proven leadership and staff management skills.
• Strong compliance with KPI targets and regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication, admin and report-writing skills.
• Budgeting and financial management capabilities.
• Willingness to undertake NVQ Level 5 in Leadership or higher.
• High literacy and numeracy; able to prioritise workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead fostering service and ensure compliance with Fostering Regulations 2011.
• Oversee safeguarding policies and manage allegations/ investigations records.
• Develop strategies to improve service quality and meet objectives.
• Produce monthly/annual reports for internal and external bodies including Ofsted.
• Negotiate placements with Local Authorities and manage regional budgets.
• Oversee recruitment, supervision and disciplinary processes.
• Participate in on-call leadership outside standard hours.
