Job summary

Samuel Frank is recruiting a Field Service Engineer for a regional patch across the South West and southern England. You will work from home with a company van and paid door-to-door travel, servicing and maintaining specialist equipment.

The role focuses on preventive maintenance and reactive work, with training including Gas Safe. Overtime opportunities of £12k-£15k are possible as you progress through salary bands.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' practical engineering maintenance experience.
• Engineering qualification to Level 2 or equivalent practical experience.
• Apprentice-trained candidates welcome.
• Electrical or mechanical background with cross-discipline exposure.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (≈70%) and reactive breakdown work (≈30%) at customer sites.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on industrial equipment.
• Complete inspections, service reports and recommendations for remedial work.
• Travel from home to customer sites; shadow initially, then work independently.
• Support by an established field service and technical support team.
