Job summary

United Utilities is seeking a Regional Engineering Lead to drive the engineering outputs for customers and stakeholders across a defined region. The role includes leading senior Project Engineers, managing budgets, and securing resources to meet demand while delivering value and innovation.

You will coordinate across regions when needed, maintain CDM compliance, and deputise for regional teammates as required, ensuring safety, quality and performance targets are met.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate experience and professionally qualified in engineering (or equivalent).
• Proven leadership of complex change initiatives in a senior management role.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering delivery within the region and manage a portfolio of projects.
• Develop portfolio resource plans and secure competent Project Engineers.
• Oversee project risk, budget, and schedule management across the region.
• Engage with consultants and specialists across the supply chain and ensure CDM compliance.
• Act as Principal Designer when required and develop design contracts.
