Job summary

United Living Group is seeking a Project Engineer to drive water-sector infrastructure projects from design through commissioning. You will work with project managers, designers, contractors and client representatives to ensure technical quality and regulatory compliance across clean water, wastewater, and treatment works.

The role involves coordinating end-to-end delivery, developing plans and cost estimates, reviewing drawings, and supporting safety and environmental objectives.

Qualifications

  • Experience in water sector projects (clean water, wastewater, or treatment works).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with RAMS, design risk registers, and safety regimes.
  • CSCS, EUSR, SMSTS/SSSTS, or relevant safety certifications.
  • Experience with BIM, CAD, or modelling tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end project lifecycle, from feasibility through commissioning.
  • Translate project requirements into technical specifications and engineering solutions.
  • Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Support commissioning activities, FAT/SAT processes, and handover documentation.
