Job Description

Reporting to The Regional Operations Director, The Regional Engineer will ensure the implementation of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks and improvements across a dedicated region. To provide solutions to reduce costs and improve plant efficiencies.

Working hours:Any 5 in 7 days, 40 hour week.

Key Duties Of a Regional Engineer

  • Ownership of specific jobs/projects through to successful completion.
  • Perform fault diagnosis leading to resolution of random failures on production machinery, identifying root cause in repair process.
  • Carrying out planned maintenance tasks as part of a preventative maintenance strategy.
  • Complete risk assessments/method statements to ensure safe running of all factory equipment and processes.
  • Identify and report all stock /spares issues.
  • Liaise with production on plant outages to ensure minimum downtime of production equipment.
  • Prioritise own work load with consideration to output, product quality and line efficiency.
  • Proactive approach to identify improvements to increase line and machinery efficiencies.
  • Complete all line checks and documentation as required.
  • To assist in the training and development of new starters.
  • To act as a role model for best practice.
  • Monitor, control and minimise waste.
  • Play an active part in continuous improvement.
  • To participate in the companys PDP program.
  • To act as specialist for machinery knowledge.
  • Drive own personal development through training and work based experience.
  • Manage the output of assigned production and effectively deal with issues as and when they arise.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in a food factory environment would be advantageous.
  • Packing experience is highly desirable.
  • Computer literacy - MS packages, excel, word etc,
  • Great communicator and ability to motivate others.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements is essential.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive disposition, and a clear focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Able to work under pressure both as part of a team and on own initiative.
