The Borgen Project is an international organisation that works at the political level to improve living conditions for people impacted by war, famine, and poverty. With 20 years of experience in advocacy, The Borgen Project has supported the passage of numerous bills benefiting close to 500 million people in developing countries.

Regional Director -

You don’t need to be a lobbyist to influence foreign policy. As a Regional Director, you’ll serve as a Borgen Project Ambassador in your city, mobilising friends, family, and colleagues to contact your government in support of key poverty reduction legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Meet with local government leaders and lobby for legislation that improves living conditions for the world’s poor.
  2. Mobilise community members to contact their government leaders to support poverty reduction legislation.
  3. Manage and implement fundraising campaigns.
  4. Build a network of engaged supporters.
  5. Serve as The Borgen Project’s ambassador in your city.
Qualifications required:
  1. Basic understanding of politics and international development.
  2. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and manage time efficiently.
  3. Strong team player who brings new ideas to the table.
  4. Ability to demonstrate independent judgment and decisiveness.
  5. Excellent communication skills: oral, written, and presentation.

Location: U.S., U.K., and Canada

Duration: 6 months | Hours: 4-6 hours per week

Start Date: New programs begin every month; you choose your start month.
