Job summary

OneSchool Global UK is seeking an outstanding Regional Director of Teaching & Learning (Secondary) to provide strategic leadership across 23 campuses. This remote role requires regular travel to campuses to drive excellence in curriculum, assessment and teaching.

You will work with Heads of Department, curriculum specialists and education support teams to implement the Learning to Learn Framework, raise standards and cultivate innovative, technology-enabled practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
• Significant leadership experience in secondary education.
• Experience leading curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and school improvement initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of effective teaching practices and assessment strategies.
• Experience using student data to drive educational improvement.
• Ability to influence, coach and develop educational leaders and teaching staff.
• Experience working with digital learning platforms and technology-enhanced learning approaches.

As we continue to develop and strengthen our educational provision across our 23 campuses, we are seeking an outstanding educational leader to join us as our Regional Director of Teaching & Learning (Secondary). This is a remote role with the expectation to travel to the 23 campuses regularly.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced secondary education leader to influence teaching, learning, curriculum and assessment at a regional level, driving excellence, consistency and continuous improvement across our nationwide school network.

About the Role

Reporting to the Regional Director of Studies, the Regional Director of Teaching & Learning (Secondary) will provide strategic leadership for the quality, consistency and development of secondary teaching and learning across OneSchool Global UK.

Working closely with campus leaders, Heads of Department, curriculum specialists and education support teams, you will lead the implementation of our Learning to Learn Framework, ensuring students benefit from an innovative, personalised and technology-enabled educational experience.

This role plays a pivotal part in shaping curriculum design, developing subject leadership, enhancing professional practice and driving improvements in student achievement across the region.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

• Lead the strategic development, implementation and review of the secondary curriculum across the UK region.
• Drive high-quality teaching and learning through the successful implementation of the Learning to Learn Framework.
• Provide professional leadership and support to Heads of Department and curriculum leaders.
• Lead regional approaches to curriculum planning, assessment, assignment quality and academic improvement.
• Use student performance data, assessment outcomes and quality assurance findings to identify opportunities for improvement and raise standards.
• Champion evidence-informed teaching, self-directed learning and innovative educational practice.
• Design and deliver impactful professional learning and development programmes for teaching staff and educational leaders.
• Support curriculum innovation, subject pathway development and student progression across secondary education.
• Lead regional quality assurance and improvement activities, providing constructive support and challenge to campuses and departments.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to promote educational excellence and continuous improvement.

About You

We are looking for a highly credible educational leader with a passion for teaching and learning and a proven track record of improving outcomes in secondary education.

You will bring:

• Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent teaching accreditation where applicable).
• Significant leadership experience within secondary education, such as Principal, Head of Secondary, Director of Studies, Director of Teaching & Learning, Head of Department or a similar senior leadership role.
• Demonstrable experience leading curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and school improvement initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of effective teaching practices, curriculum design and assessment strategies.
• Experience using student data and performance measures to drive educational improvement.
• The ability to influence, coach and develop educational leaders and teaching staff.
• Experience working with digital learning platforms and technology-enhanced learning approaches.
• Outstanding communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• A commitment to innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

A higher-level qualification in Educational Leadership, Curriculum, Pedagogy, Assessment or a related field would be advantageous.
