Direct message the job poster from People Group

Our client is a high performing, private equity backed consultancy that specialises in project management, cost consultancy, and building surveying. Founded less than 40 years ago, the business has grown from a small start-up into a global operation with over 2,500 professionals delivering mission-critical projects across multiple sectors.

Within the UK and Europe, the business now employs circa 800 people and has ambitions to double in size within the next five years. The company operates across major UK cities and is particularly active in large-scale infrastructure, commercial, and public sector developments. The business remains focused and disciplined in its service offering, eschewing a multi- disciplinary model in favour of deep expertise and consistent delivery.

With strong financial backing and a leadership team focused on operational excellence, the business is on a clear path to significant growth, driven by a combination of organic expansion and strategic acquisitions.

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to take a regional leadership role in London, one of the most important and strategically valuable geographies for the business. As Regional Director, you will be responsible for leading the London business, driving growth across core service lines, and inspiring a high-performance team to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.

You’ll be expected to grow market share, develop client relationships, and represent the business externally as a respected voice in the property and construction sector. This is a hands-on leadership role where business development, client engagement, team leadership, and commercial oversight all come together.

You will report to the UK Managing Director and work closely with other regional leaders to align strategy, share best practice, and help shape the broader UK business.

Key Responsibilities

Business Leadership:

  • Lead the London region, owning the P&L and setting the strategic direction in line with national objectives.

Client Development:

  • Grow key client relationships across private and public sectors, with a strong focus on new business.

Operational Oversight:

  • Ensure delivery quality, commercial performance, and operational efficiency across all service lines.

Strategic Alignment:

  • Contribute to national leadership conversations, sharing insight and helping define best practice across the group.
  • Lead and mentor key project management and cost consultancy staff across the region, building a high-performance culture that reflects the company’s values.

Brand Ambassador:

  • Represent the business in industry forums, panels, and networking groups to enhance brand reputation and visibility.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record of leading a high-performing consultancy team in the London property sector
  • Deep knowledge of one or more core disciplines: project management, cost consultancy, and building surveying
  • Well-networked with a strong reputation and commercial presence across key sectors and clients
  • Entrepreneurial, strategic thinker with experience growing teams and winning work
  • Natural leader with the ability to build trust and drive accountability

The Package

  • Highly competitive base salary, bonus and equity participation
  • Opportunity to be part of a transformative growth story in a market-leading consultancy
  • Leadership of a major regional office with autonomy and influence

Why Join?

London is a key engine of growth for the business. This role offers the chance to lead that engine, combining local leadership with national influence. If you’re an ambitious leader ready to build something significant, with the backing of a high-quality brand and strong financial support, this is the opportunity to step up and make your mark.
