Job summary

Mapped & Managed is seeking a Regional Director for nurseries in Yorkshire. You will own the strategy, performance and compliance for three sites with ambitious growth plans, shaping policies and ensuring high standards across the region.

You will lead and develop Nursery Managers and a Quality Manager, driving occupancy, safeguarding, and regulatory excellence while building strong relationships with parents and authorities.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership across multiple sites in nursery/early years.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and safeguarding.
• Experience growing regional portfolios and managing budgets.

Responsibilities

• Line manage a team of Nursery Managers and a Quality Manager to ensure performance across Yorkshire nurseries.
• Oversee P&L and regional budgets with a focus on occupancy and growth.
• Lead, develop and mentor managers to share best practice and build capability.
• Ensure settings meet safeguarding, Ofsted and regulatory standards as the nominated individual.
• Act as main contact for parents, stakeholders and local authorities.
• Drive consistent high-quality care and education across sites.
• Lead regional growth and smooth onboarding during acquisitions.

Job Title: Regional Director (Nurseries)

Location: Yorkshire

We are working with an established UK nursery provider to recruit a Regional Director within their Yorkshire team. Responsible for 3 nurseries, with ambitions to double in the future, you will take ownership of their strategy, performance and compliance, working closely with the nursery managers to maximise occupancy and prioritise excellent care. This is a varied and exciting role where you will be afforded the opportunity to shape the strategy and growth of the region and genuinely influence policies and procedures.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Line manage a team of established Nursery Managers and a Quality Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and performance of multiple nursery settings across Yorkshire.
• Manage the P&L and budgets across the region, with accountability for occupancy and growth.
• Leading, supporting and developing a team of nursery managers. We are looking for leaders who promote community and the sharing of best practice.
• Ensuring every setting meets safeguarding, Ofsted and regulatory standards. You'll be the nominated individual for Ofsted with the aim of achieving Outstanding across the region.
• Acting as the main point of contact for parents, stakeholders and local authorities.
• Driving a consistent, high standard of care and education across all sites.
• Lead on the growth of the region, ensuring smooth transition for new team members during acquisitions.

This role will be perfect for:

• An established leader with a proven track record of managing multiple sites within a nursery or early years setting.
• You've been a nursery manager so you can empathise and support your managers with solving issues and developing their skills. You know Ofsted requirements inside and out and you are passionate about pushing the team to be the best they can be.
• You'll be comfortable holding managers accountable while still being hands-on when a setting needs it, and you'll have a track record of maintaining strong Ofsted outcomes across a region.
