Job summary

Storal is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to cover Northwest nurseries, including Preston, Wigan, Bolton, Manchester and Oldham. You will lead on strategy and operations, mentoring Nursery Managers and improving financial performance while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Early Years qualification.
• Experience as regional nursery manager across multiple sites.
• Excellent knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted and safeguarding.
• Experience in budget management and commercial oversight.
• Strong ability to inspire and motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Support Nursery Managers to achieve business results including quality and commercial performance.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of Nurseries in your assigned area, ensuring leadership teams meet expectations.
• Ensure all nurseries comply with relevant legislation, including Ofsted/EYFS, health and safety and safeguarding standards.
• Lead, coach and mentor Nursery Managers to help them achieve their goals and develop their teams.

Regional Operations Manager

Location: Covering Northwest - Preston, Wigan, Bolton, Manchester, Oldham

Hours: 40 Hours per week Monday to Friday

Salary: Up to £50,000 plus car allowance £3,600 + mileage

Meaningful relationships

As a Regional Operations Manager, you will act as a key link between the nurseries and senior management, ensuring that each Nursery thrives while aligning with the ethos, behaviors, and objectives of Storal.

Responsibilities

Support Nursery Managers to achieve business results including quality and commercial performance.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of your Nurseries in your assigned area, ensuring the management teams meet and/or exceed company expectations.

Ensure all nurseries comply with relevant legislation, including Ofsted/EYFS requirements, health and safety, and safeguarding standards.

Lead, coach and mentor Nursery Managers to help them achieve their goals and support the development of their teams.

Objectives and impact

• 1. Ensuring nurseries maintain strict compliance with, and drive standards above regulatory requirements.
• 2. Improving financial performance year over year, maintaining and improving margin, and identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
• 3. Monitor occupancy levels, staffing requirements and parent engagement so you can implement strategies to maximise enrolment across settings.
• 4. Contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide initiatives and policies

Essential requirements

• Level 3 or above full and relevant qualification in early years
• Experience working as a regional nursery manager, across multiple sites
• Excellent knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding practices
• Experience in budget management and commercial oversight
• Strong ability to inspire and motivate others
