Job summary

GAP Group is seeking a Regional Pump Engineer based at the Harthill depot to maintain, service and repair a wide range of pumps and related equipment. You will attend breakdowns at customer sites, ensuring timely resolution and accurate service records to support operations across the GAP fleet.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, fault diagnosis and delivering high service standards while coordinating with depot colleagues in a fast-paced hire environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a pump engineer, mechanical fitter or diesel technician.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, hoses or generators is desirable but training will be provided.
• Experience within the plant or hire industry would be highly beneficial.
• A valid driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain equipment in the depot.
• Attend breakdowns across customer sites.
• Identify and repair faults or damage to pumps, hoses and generators; update service records accurately.
