Job summary

The GAP Group is seeking a Regional Pump Engineer to join our depot in Tewkesbury. You will service, repair and maintain a wide range of pumps, hoses and generators, ensuring equipment is ready for hire and on-site breakdowns are resolved quickly.

You'll work across our UK network, liaising with customers and keeping accurate service records. A valid driving licence and practical experience in pump engineering or diesel tech are essential; training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a pump engineer, mechanical fitter or diesel technician.
• Sound knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, hoses or generators; training provided.
• Experience in plant or hire industry is beneficial; must be detail‑oriented and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain GAP fleet equipment at depot and on customer sites.
• Attend breakdowns and identify/fix faults on pumps, hoses and generators.
• Keep accurate service records and update documents promptly.
• Ensure safety and customer-focused service delivery.
