Job summary

White Recruitment Construction is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support CHP and gas-engine systems across the North West. You will service, maintain and repair equipment, ensuring reliability and compliance with safety standards.

The role offers regional travel, door-to-door pay, and long-term development within a growing power-generation business. Candidates should have hands-on experience with CHP, gas engines and related controls and hold a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Power-generation, CHP or gas-engine service experience.
• Experience with Jenbacher, Caterpillar/MWM or MTU equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Must be based in North West England.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair CHP and gas-engine systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control-system faults.
• Complete planned maintenance, breakdown repairs and engine overhauls.
• Maintain equipment availability, performance and safety.
• Produce accurate service reports and communicate with customers.
