Job summary

Meridian are seeking a Catering Engineer to join an established M&E contractor. Based in the Oxford region, the role covers installation, servicing and maintenance of commercial and domestic catering equipment.

You will work autonomously on regional contracts, with a company van and fuel card provided. The position offers a 40-hour week with potential overtime, plus training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ, CSCS or JIB card, City & Guilds, F-Gas/ACS Gas qualifications required
• COMCAT or ACS Gas and Appliance qualifications
• Experience working on catering equipment and appliances e.govens, refrigeration units, dishwashers, and air conditioning systems
• Familiarity with CAFM systems and Ostara
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Excellent timekeeping and customer-service skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on catering equipment such as ovens, refrigeration units, dishwashers, and air conditioning systems
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to minimise downtime
• Read and interpret schematics, manuals and electrical diagrams
• Lead maintenance tasks coordinating with team members or contractors
• Oversee upkeep of climate control systems to maintain optimal conditions
• Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance history
• Respond swiftly to emergencies or safety concerns
