Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Regional Care Assistant to provide warm, respectful care within a 20-mile radius. You will monitor care delivery, contribute to personalised care plans, and record observations across shifts. The role includes companionship and ensuring residents enjoy meaningful one-to-one time.

Applicants should have care experience, a Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care, and GCSEs in English/Maths. Own car or access to one is required; mileage is reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Background in care is important for the role.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above is preferred.
• Own car or ready access to one is needed for travel.
• Mileage covered over five miles from home is reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor delivery of care on duty and support residents.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning and record observations (temp, BP, etc.).
• Provide companionship and meaningful one-to-one time with residents.
• Shifts involve varied tasks across the region to support wellbeing.
