Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a Registered Building Inspector (Class 2A or 2D) to cover a regional corridor including Bournemouth, Southampton, Portsmouth and Salisbury. You will assess regulatory compliance across residential and commercial projects and produce inspection reports, while maintaining detailed site records and advising on corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Registered Building Inspector – Class 2A or Class 2D registration is mandatory.
• Experience in site inspections, report writing and advising on compliance.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations for residential and commercial environments.

Responsibilities

• Assess compliance with building regulations and produce inspection reports.
• Maintain detailed site records and provide guidance on corrective actions.
• Collaborate with builders, developers and architects to resolve issues.
• Inspect extensions, loft conversions, retail units and larger commercial buildings.
• Carry out warranty inspections and building control site inspections.
• Identify defects, risks and non-compliance issues.
• Maintain accurate digital records and inspection notes.
