Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive capital equipment sales into Food & Beverage manufacturers, based in the Northwest. You will inherit some existing accounts while actively opening new ones and managing multiple sales cycles.

You'll engage with key decision-makers, close deals, and collaborate with engineering, procurement and leadership to deliver tailored solutions. This role suits a field-based, face-to-face sales professional.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in selling to the Food & Beverage manufacturing arena.
• Experience with full sales cycles and opening new accounts.
• Ability to engage with decision-makers and close deals.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic relationships and manage 8-week to 2-year sale cycles.
• Identify and approach new applications and opportunities in F&B.
• Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to close and arrange trials.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, operations and leadership to deliver solutions.
• Average order values of £15,000–£30,000 with 1–2 sales per order, 3–4 orders per month.
