Job description

Inizio is recruiting a Regional Account Manager to support a growing pharmaceutical business with a specialist portfolio across the paediatrics and gastroenterology therapy areas.

This is a field-based role covering the South of England, working predominantly across secondary care, with some primary care engagement where appropriate. You'll be responsible for developing strategic relationships with key NHS stakeholders, driving formulary inclusion, building prescribing pathways and improving patient access.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys working in a small pharma environment, takes ownership of their territory and is motivated by building business through strong account management rather than traditional call activity.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver sales performance across the assigned territory in line with agreed objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic territory and account plans.
  • Drive formulary inclusion and develop prescribing pathways across your territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital pharmacists, consultants, Medicines Management Teams, ICBs and other key NHS stakeholders.
  • Identify and develop commercial opportunities to improve patient access and support product growth.
  • Deliver accurate and compliant product education in line with the ABPI Code of Practice.
  • Work collaboratively with internal colleagues to support successful product growth and commercial initiatives.
  • Take ownership of your territory, identifying opportunities and managing it as your own business.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in secondary care pharmaceutical sales and/or Key Account Management.
  • Strong understanding of the NHS, account management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrable experience influencing key NHS stakeholders and driving business growth.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to identify and convert business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, planning and relationship-building skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the territory.
What successful looks like:
  • Experience securing formulary access and developing prescribing pathways.
  • Experience launching new products or supporting product growth through market access.
  • Experience engaging with Medicines Management Teams, Chief Pharmacists, hospital pharmacists and ICBs.
  • Experience within paediatrics, gastroenterology or specialist medicines.
  • Experience selling products based on clinical and commercial value, rather than competing on acquisition cost.
  • Experience working within a small or entrepreneurial pharmaceutical company.
  • Generics or specialty pharmaceutical experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
What We’re Looking For

We're looking for someone who is commercially driven, self-motivated and enjoys working with autonomy. You'll be comfortable managing a large geographical territory, prioritising opportunities and developing strategic account plans to maximise business growth.

You'll be someone who builds strong relationships, identifies opportunities and is passionate about improving patient access through effective Key Account Management. Experience working across complex NHS accounts, driving formulary access and influencing key stakeholders will be highly valued.

If you enjoy working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where your contribution is visible and valued, and you're looking for the opportunity to genuinely shape a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
