Job summary

Anglian Water Group Ltd. is seeking a Regional Operational Control Centre Leader (Water Recycling) to provide strategic and operational leadership for a 24/7 Control Centre. You will oversee incidents, drive end-to-end response, and work with regulators and partners to protect customers and the environment.

You will lead a senior, rotating team, develop playbooks, and advance proactive risk management, learning from events and embedding improvements across the business.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
• ILM Level 5 Diploma or equivalent leadership qualification.
• Experience leading teams in operationally critical environments.
• Experience in water industry or highly regulated setting.
• Strong incident and event management capability under pressure.
• Strategic thinking with planning, prioritisation and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with regulators and partners.
• Commitment to inclusive leadership and talent development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the 24/7 Water Recycling Control Centre team.
• Act as senior escalation point for operational events and incidents.
• Own incidents end-to-end from identification to recovery.
• Provide leadership and risk-based decision-making in high-pressure situations.
• Ensure compliance across alarm monitoring, pollution response, reporting.
• Lead pollution performance reporting to regulators and stakeholders.
• Develop insights and trend reporting of emerging risks.
• Move towards proactive intervention with playbooks and planning.
• Collaborate with resilience, performance and planning teams to improve outcomes.
• Lead post-event investigations and drive learning actions.
• Develop long-term resourcing and professional development pathways.
• Build relationships with senior leaders, regulators and partners.
• Monitor performance measures for competence and service outcomes.
