Job summary

Derbyshire County Council is seeking a Senior Regeneration Delivery Officer to coordinate feasibility projects and capital schemes within the Economy & Regeneration Service, driving placemaking, economic growth and outcomes for Derbyshire communities.

You will report to senior managers, manage budgets and partnerships, and ensure compliance with policies and funding requirements while developing staff and pursuing funding opportunities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering transformational change in large organisations/public sector.
• Strong track record of cross-department collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
• Significant budget management experience.
• Experience supervising staff and planning workloads within timescales and budgets.
• Experience using PRINCE2 or MSP frameworks.
• Ability to conduct complex qualitative and quantitative research or consultations.
• Good communication to engage with the public, Elected Members and external agencies.
• Degree-level education or equivalent professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate management and monitoring of feasibility projects and capital schemes.
• Provide programme management insight and challenge across projects.
• Prepare and present progress reports to senior managers and boards.
• Maintain governance records, budgets, procurement activity and performance; escalate issues.
• Ensure activities comply with legislation, policies, health and safety, and environmental obligations.
• Manage and develop staff responsible for monitoring, reporting and business case support.
• Identify and pursue funding opportunities; assist in preparing bids and documentation.
• Establish and administer funding agreements; ensure compliance with funding conditions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned reviews.
